How We Do It

Having access to information, isn’t learning.

Thinking you are going to apply the learning, isn’t learning.

Telling someone you are going to apply the learning, isn’t learning.

Scheduling time to learn, isn’t learning.

We only learn when we practice and recall information. Unthink’s whole methodology is based on assisting recall of information.

For us that means we work off different metrics; which are jaw drops, heart swells, and goosebumps.

We don’t do workshops. We create addictive learning experiences. 

We move leaders from being mere spectators to being fully-present, immersed participants.

How we achieve that is where it gets interesting. Here are our 6 guiding principles:

We change it up, we bring the element of surprise that catches you off guard - you never quite know what you are getting - you thought you were getting one thing, when indeed you got something better. No one ever complained for having their expectations exceeded. When people pull out their cameras, they are saying I want to remember this.

We flip the script on learning by creating emotionally charged, powerful learning moments that enable you to go F@ck yes, now I get it. We do this by tapping into the cognitive and emotional drivers that influence people’s actions.

Trip over your own Truth

“Nothing ever becomes real till experienced – even a proverb is no proverb until your life has illustrated it”John Keats nailed it. We come with so many preconceived ideas and misconceptions, that is until we experience what we call the ‘ignition moment’ - the point at which people have a strong sudden realisation, a defining moment that reshapes the way we see the world where the audience finds the truth for themselves. Rather than simply being told it.

Full Spectrum Feels

It incorporates the full spectrum of human emotion, acknowledging that difficult feelings are an important part of life and if fun is the only emotion featured, the learner might not trust it at all. We design to generate intense emotions (joy & frustration). Change people's emotions and it will lead to behaviour change. Trust us, we have seen it.

Choose your own adventure

We make it hyper personalised so learning meets you where you are. Not all moments of the design are going to be life changing for you, but that's ok because for one part that will feel like standard definition (SD) for you could feel like 4K for others - it has brought the same picture into a completely different focus - it's their ah-ha moment.

We pull the sociality lever 

As humans we are wired to connect with others and thrive on collaboration – we find moments and create an environment that promotes social bonding and where you feel a sense of belonging and create accountability to have a bias for action.
