Formed as a joint venture between Schroders and Lloyds Banking Group, Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) had brand strength and technical expertise from day one.

What it did not yet have was a shared identity. Different corporate heritages, legacy systems and ingrained behaviours created natural silos, between central teams and advisers, between product and client service. SPW’s change makers acted as connectors across the organisation: translating strategy into practical behavioural shifts, creating informal coalitions across functions and accountable for measurable collaboration outcomes.

Unthink worked with the ExCo team to stress-test the four SPW behaviours and for three years delivered hugely successful all company wide, Change Maker events, on accountability, collaboration, systems thinking, and storytelling experiences. The Impact difference between those on Unthink Change Makers programmes v those not, was an increase of leadership scores from 54% to 65%. Engagement Scores + 3% difference (79% vs 76%) Purpose +4% difference (86% vs 83%) Empowerment +5% difference (79% vs 74%) Growth +1% (86% vs 85%) Diversity and Inclusion +5% (92% VS 87%).

In addition, Unthink designed and delivered a bespoke 32 senior leader development programme to embed the four SPW behaviours and support them with leading cultural change in the business.
